As you begin the process of selling your home you will find
that there are many steps that you may not have considered.
A real estate professional is highly trained in all areas
of selling a home. For 99% of home sellers the benefits of
using a real estate agent far outweigh the small comission
fee they will pay.
If you are considering selling your home yourself you should
consider the following questions:
- Do I have the time, energy, know how, and ability
to devote a full forced effort to sell my home?
- Am I offering financing options to the buyer? Am I prepared
to answer questions about financing?
- Am I prepared to deal with an onslaught of buyers who
perceive FSBO's as targets for low balling?
- Do I have the capability or handling the legal contracts,
agreements and any disputes with buyers before or after
the offer is presented?
- Have I contacted the necessary professionals... title,
inspectors (home, roof and septic),
attorney, and escrow company?
These are just a few of the many duties that your agent performs
every day. If you answered no to any of these questions, you
need to use a real estate agent to assist in the sale of your
home. At very least you should contact an agent to help you
determine a reasonable listing price. Remember... this service
is FREE to the homeowner!
